Karimnagar: Collector RV Karnan informed that works of Manair River Front would start very soon and asked officials to make necessary arrangements.
The collector along with officials from various departments examined the site for laying foundation as well as the land to be acquired for tourism development under the downstream of Lower Manair Dam here on Friday.
He inspected the lands of Dr BR Ambedkar Women Polytechnic College, IML depot and District Fisheries Office to take up tourism development work onn either side of Manair river under the downstream of LMD as part of manair river front project.
Speaking on the occasion, Karnan said that it was necessary to acquire land to develop retaining walls, parks, walking tracks either side of the river. Besides acquiring the land, the works of manair river front should be taken up simultaneously, he instructed officials.
Asking the officials to submit the details of both the government and private lands located either side of Manair river, he directed officials to complete the land acquisition process since the works would be started very soon. On the occasion, irrigation officials explained to the collector about works to be taken up as part of the Manari river front project with the help of a map.
Additional Collector Garima Agarwal, Assistant Collector Mayank Mittal, municipal commissioner Seva Islawath, RDO Anand Kumar, Irrigation SE Shiva Kumar, Survey and Land Records AD Ashok, District Tourism Officer Venkateshwar Rao and others were present.
