MLA Diwakar Rao and leaders of TGBKS take part in celebrations held by coal miners in Srirampur.
Mancherial: Coal miners thanked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for increasing the retirement age from 58 to 61 years.
Mancherial MLA N Diwakar Rao said that the extension of the superannuation age was a historical decision. He said that July 26 would be etched in history with golden letters. He attributed the move of the Chief Minister to raise the age limit to sustained efforts by TGBKS honorary president K Kavita and leaders of the trade union.

He along with leaders of the trade union took part in the celebrations held in Srirampur. Kengerla Mallaiah, Kethireddy Surender Reddy, Enugu Ravinder Reddy, Veerabhadraiah, N Vijith Rao and others participated in the programme.
Similar celebrations were witnessed in Mandamarri and Bellampalli Areas of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). They opined that K Chandrashekhar Rao was offering a slew of schemes and was protecting rights that Coal India Limited was unable to implement. They raised slogans, hailing the Chief Minister for enhancing the age limit.
