Mancherial DCP shows generosity, arranges vehicle for new mother
Bagyalaxmi and her husband Satish told reporters that they were stranded in the town but were relieved when they were provided transportation by the DCP
Mancherial: Deputy Commissioner of Police D Uday Kumar Reddy displayed his humane side when he arranged a police vehicle to transport a new mother and her husband to Dandepalli from Mancherial on Tuesday.
Uday Kumar was supervising implementation of lockdown in the district headquarters when he noticed Gudikandula Bhagyalaxmi and Satish who visited a hospital in the town and were struggling to return to their native place since no transportation facility was available after 10 am. He provided a police vehicle and sent them home.
Bagyalaxmi and Satish told reporters that they were stranded in the town but were relieved when they were provided transportation by the DCP. They expressed gratitude to Uday Kumar Reddy.
Meanwhile, police requested the public to complete their work including medical-related ones before 10 am and extend their cooperation to the administration enforcing the lockdown. They advised the citizens to contact policemen in case of emergency.
