Mancherial: District Collector urges farmers to utilise loan facilities
The IAS officer said that loans worth Rs 1,819 crore was spent for developing agriculture sector, Rs 239 crore was released for small and medium scale industries

Mancherial: Collector Bharati Hollikeri advised farmers to utilise loan facilities provided by the government for the financial growth of small and medium scale farmers. She along with trainee collector Pratibha Singh convened a review meeting with bankers here on Tuesday.
Bharati instructed the authorities of various banks to take steps for disbursing loans of Rs 350 crore per month by conducting a special drive for three months. She told them to set goals and prepare an action plan to achieve the target. She stated that the district registered deposits of Rs 6,097 crore and of them, Rs 4,365 crore was paid as advance.
The IAS officer further said that loans worth Rs 1,819 crore was spent for developing agriculture sector, Rs 239 crore was released for small and medium scale industries. Loans to the tune of Rs 35 crore was sanctioned as against the target of Rs 184 crore, while loans worth Rs 67 crore were given to eligible applicants as against Rs 68 crore under Prime Minister Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency Mudra scheme.
Union Bank of India Divisional General Manager Arun Kumar, Telangana Grameena Bank Regional Manager Chandrasekhar Reddy, State Bank of India Chief Manager Subramanyam, district agriculture officer Veeraiah, DRDO Seshadri, district lead bank manager Haveli Raju and officials of SC, BC corporations, district industries and different banks were present.
