Mancherial: The second World Meditation Day was observed at Mythri Yoga and Nature Cure Centre at Hi-Tech City Colony here on Sunday.
Led by Mythri’s naturopathy doctor couple Dr KN Sukumar and Dr P Sameera Reddy, scores of yoga enthusiasts from the town practiced meditation for 30 minutes. Sameera explained the myriad health benefits of meditation.
She said that practicing meditation daily could lead to a healthy life and also prevent stress and lifestyle disorders like hypertension, diabetes, migraine, hormonal issues, psychological issues, etc.
Sukumar stated that meditation could be practiced by children aged above 5, adolescents, middle-aged and elderly people. He noted that one could achieve inner peace, clarity and unalloyed happiness by making meditation an integral part of life.
He opined that without meditation, one cannot truly experience the beauty of emotions, just as a blind person cannot see colours.
