Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Traffic Police have announced the temporary closure of the Manchirevula Village Road after heavy water flow was reported in the area on Tuesday night.
The decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety amid continuous rainfall affecting several low-lying regions of the city.
According to officials, the road was inundated following the overflow of nearby drains and stormwater channels, making it unsafe for vehicular movement.
Traffic personnel have been deployed at the site to divert commuters and prevent any untoward incidents.
“Traffic has been completely halted on the Manchirevula stretch due to heavy waterlogging. Our teams are on-site, coordinating with GHMC and other departments to clear the route and restore safe passage,” a Cyberabad Traffic Police official said.
Authorities have urged motorists to avoid the Manchirevula route and opt for alternate roads until further notice. Commuters have also been advised to follow real-time traffic updates and drive cautiously, especially in waterlogged and low-visibility areas.
The Cyberabad Police appealed to the public to stay alert and cooperate with traffic personnel as rainfall continues across parts of the city.
