Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) will be conducting an online debate competition as part of Azad Day Celebrations 2021. The preliminary round of the competition was held on October 28.
The candidates were given the topic “Social Media is a positive tool for online learning” in three languages — Urdu, Hindi and English.
The final round for Hindi and Urdu languages is scheduled to be held on November 9, on the topic “Technology has a damaging impact on the cultural ethos of a society”.
Prof Mohammed Abdul Sami Siddiqui, coordinator of the competition, said a total of 31 students participated in the preliminary round. Prizes will be awarded to the top performers in each language and e-certificates will be given to all the participants.
