Massive Ganesha idol damaged after lorry rams truck near Gajwel

A Ganesha idol being transported from Dhoolpet to Siddipet was damaged after a speeding lorry rammed into the truck near Gajwel Ring Road. The truck driver sustained minor injuries, and another car also collided with the lorry. Police registered a case.

Siddipet: A massive Ganesha idol, which was being transported in a truck from Dhoolpet to Siddipet, was damaged as a speeding lorry hit the truck near Gajwel Ring Road in the early hours of Thursday.

Since a signboard was blocking the way of the vehicle carrying the Ganesha idol, the driver stopped the vehicle to get the signboard removed and proceed towards his destination. However, the negligent driver of a lorry rammed into the truck and the idol fell off the truck.

The idol was damaged in the incident while the driver has sustained minor injuries. Another car, which followed the lorry from behind, also rammed into it. The Gajwel police registered a case.
