Hyderabad: In the third Asia Pacific Urban Forestry meeting, Telangana Ku Haritha Haram afforestation programme was mentioned by Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi. “Telangana is credited for taking up a massive afforestation programme, namely Haritha Haram, a flagship programme, flagged by our Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who is an ardent lover of trees,” said the Mayor.

The programme is one of its kind in the world and is the 3rd largest human effort, after China and Brazil, she mentioned.
