Mechanic murdered over petty issue in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A mechanic was murdered at Begumpet on Wednesday night following an argument over a petty issue.

According to the police, Mohd Moinuddin (45) had a mechanic workshop at Pattigadda under Begumpet police station limits. On Wednesday evening, he was closing his shop when the suspect, Ghouse, was passing along the shop. Moinuddin who was chatting with a friend then told him that Ghouse used to help him earlier.

“Ghouse who was reportedly in an inebriated condition picked up a quarrel with Moinuddin for discussing about him with his friend. During the fight, Ghouse took a big stone and hit on the head of Moinuddin,” said Ch Muthyam Raju, sub inspector, Begumpet police station.

Moinuddin who suffered serious injuries in the attack was rushed to a government hospital where he died while undergoing treatment early on Thursday. A case is registered by the Begumpet police against Ghouse and efforts are on to nab him.
