Medak: Sri Vana Durga Bhavani Temple Edupayala is being decked up for the annual Jathara. Additional Collectors Prathima Singh and G Ramesh have examined the arrangements at the temple with the officials of the temple, district administrations, and priests on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion Prathima Singh instructed the officials to provide all arrangements at the temple to ensure a hassle-free Darshan for devotees coming to the temple. Suggesting them to create separate queue lines for Sarva Darshan, Rs 100 darshan and VIP Darshan, the Additional Collector directed them to create two counters for selling Laddu Prasadam. Since they were expecting a huge crowd from all corners of the State, Prathima Singh said that they will operate over 200 RTC services from different parts to ensure the devotees reach the temple safely.
As Ghanpur anicut was located exactly upstream the temple, which is located in the middle of the Manjeera, the lady IAS officer has asked the irrigation water to water downstream in small quantities to avoid any untoward incidents happening. She also guided them to deploy some divers by providing a torch, rope, whistle, and others equipment. Asking the disaster management department to keep fire engines ready at the place, Singh directed the health department officials set up a medical camp until the Jathara is completed. She has suggested them to make all arrangements before February 27 since the four-day Jathara will commence on February 28.
