Medak: Five migrant workers from Bihar injured as cylinder explodes in illegal gas filling unit

Five migrant workers from Bihar sustained serious burn injuries after a cylinder exploded at an illegal gas filling centre in Parkibanda village, Medak district, late Tuesday night. Two of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.

Medak: Five persons sustained injuries as a cylinder exploded in an illegal gas filling centre at Parkibanda village on Tuesday night. 

Since a huge number of migrant workers live in and around Manoharabad, Jagadish, a native of Khammam, saw it as an opportunity to sell refilled gas cylinders to these workers.

While five workers were carrying out the refilling, a gas cylinder exploded. Five workers Lalan Kumar Mahatho, Sanjay Kumar Mahatho, Dharamnath Mahatho, Sanjay Kumar Mahatho and Rajesh Kumar, all from Bihar, sustained serious burn injuries. They were rushed to a hospital where the condition of Sanjay and Lalan was stated to be critical. Toopran DSP Narendar Goud visited the place and examined the crime scene.
