Those who bought the child were also arrested and the infant was restored to the parents. This shocking incident was reported to have occured on April 12, but came to light after the parents approached the Medak police.

According to information available, the parents grew suspicious following some information that the nurses took the just born baby to the laboratory, then informed the parents that the baby died and that they had disposed of the child’s body. Believing their version, the woman Nasra Fathima of Lakshminagar locality in papannapet mandal had got discharged and went home.
