Medak police destroys drugs worth Rs 19 lakh

Medak police destroyed a huge amount of ganja, ganja chocolates and alprazolam by burning them in an incinerator at a pharma company on Friday.

Medak: Medak police destroyed a huge amount of ganja, ganja chocolates and alprazolam by burning them in an incinerator at a pharma company on Friday.

The police burnt 455 kg of dry ganja, 33 kg of ganja chocolates, and 3.9 kg grams of alprazolam. The worth of them put together was Rs 19.86 lakh.

In a press statement, SP D Uday Kumar Reddy said the drugs were seized in 12 cases reported in various parts of the district.
