Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Jatara 2026 dates announced

The priests of the Sammakka Saralamma Jatara announced the 2026 dates. The tribal festival begins on January 28 in Medaram, with deities arriving at Gaddelu and returning to the forest on January 31 after prayers by lakhs of devotees

Mulugu: The biennial Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Jatara–2026 dates have been announced by the Jatara priests.

Pujari Sangham president Siddaboina Jagga Rao, in a statement, said the Jatara’s main events would begin on January 28, when Saralamma, Pagididda Raju, and Govinda Raju would be brought to Gaddelu.


On January 29 (Thursday), Sammakka would arrive at Gaddelu at 6 pm, and on January 30 (Friday), prayers would be offered to the deities by the devotees. The following day, Sammakka and Saralamma would return to the forests, Jagga Rao said.
