Adilabad: Adilabad police organised a free mega health camp for tribals living in 16 remote habitations at Vayipet village in Sirikonda mandal on Monday.
In-charge Superintendent of Police M Rajesh Chandra was the chief guest at the event. He was joined by District Medical and Health Officer Dr Rathod Narender.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Chandra said that the police department would take the responsibility of providing the second of vaccination to the tribals. He advised the dwellers not to rely on a superficial medicine system if the residents were diagnosed with a disease. He requested them to keep premises clean and prevent spread of seasonal diseases.
A team of 13 doctors rendered medical services to 600 participants of the medical camp. A total of 115 tribals were vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus during the camp. The participants belonged to Kannapur, Kuntaguda, Rimma, Palavagu, Fakir Naik Thanda, Chimmanguda, Sathmore, Boring Guda, Laxmipur, Dharmasagar, Lendi Guda, Ramnagar, Suryapet, Bheempur, Chintaguda, etc.,
Utnoor ASP Harshvardhan Srivatsav, Echoda Inspector Y Ramesh Babu, Sirikonda Sub-Inspector B Krishna Kumar, trainee SIs V Purushottam, G Vijay and Vayipet Sarpanch Pendur Laxmi Bai were present.
