Hyderabad: Night temperatures in the city have once again dipped below the normal range. On Tuesday, the average minimum temperature recorded was 14.5 degree Celsius, while the lowest minimum temperature of 11.2 degree Celsius was recorded at Serilingampally. This is at least four degrees less than normal.
According to the forecast from the Telangana State Development Planning Society, night temperatures in several areas might plummet further in the coming days. Areas including Saroornagar, Falaknuma, Malakpet, Jubilee Hills and Begumpet are likely to record a dip in the minimum temperature by two to three degrees.
Officials at the India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad, have issued a four-day yellow alert for the city. It is expected that the minimum temperature will range from 11 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius till January 7.
Meanwhile, night temperatures in Sangareddy and Kumram Bheem Asifabad were recorded below 10 degree Celsius on Tuesday. Many other districts are also facing a cold wave-like situation in the State. According to IMD-H, temperatures in districts such as Adilabad, Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, Rajanna Sircilla and Medchal-Malkajgiri are likely to dip further in the coming days.
