Khammam: The Zilla Parishad Chairman, Lingala Kamalaraj, on Friday said some persons had created fake social media accounts on his name to damage his reputation.

In a statement here, he said some miscreants have created profiles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms in his name and spreading hateful comments against others with an intention to create unrest in society.

He urged the public in Madhira Assembly constituency and in the district to be cautious of such hateful writings and comments being made on social media with his fake accounts to disrupt the harmonious atmosphere.

Kamalraj recalled that in the past someone had created a fake account in his name on social media accounts and texted his friends demanding to pay money on Google Pay and Phone Pay.

At that time, as soon as the matter came to his notice he alerted his followers and friends. Someone was again trying to create unrest. Making hateful comments against others using fake accounts would not be tolerated, he added.
