Hyderabad: With Speaker G Prasad Kumar’s hearing on MLAs defections petition nearing completion, BRS MLA from Khairthabad Danam Nagender said he was prepared to resign, if the Chief Minister and senior leaders take such a decision.
“Contesting elections is not new to me. I have contested 11 elections and fighting and winning is in my blood,” Nagender said while speaking to media persons here on Friday.
The Khairthabad MLA claimed that the issue of defections did not come up for discussion still with senior leaders. “Depending on the situation, appropriate decision will be taken after the Chief Minister decides and the situation compels,” Nagender said.
The turncoat MLA from BRS said he had submit his petition in the Supreme Court on party defections.
“It is still pending in the Supreme Court and also with the Assembly Speaker,” Nagender stated.
Among the 10 BRS turncoat MLAs, Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari and Khairthabad MLA Danam Nagender have sought time to respond on the notices served by the Speaker on party defections petition.
Last month, when the Speaker issued fresh notices, both the MLAs had requested for some time.
