MLC polling concludes on peaceful note in Telangana; counting on March 3

In the Karimnagar-Medak- Nizamabad-Adilabad Graduates Constituency, the voting percentage was about 63.09

MLC polling concludes on peaceful note in Telangana; counting on March 3
The voting commenced at 8 am and continued till 4 pm. At a few polling stations, voters turned up in large numbers in the afternoon. All those who were in the queue were permitted to cast their votes.

Hyderabad: Voting for the three MLC constituencies, including one Graduates and two Teachers constituencies, passed off peacefully on Thursday save for a few sporadic incidents. Counting for the three constituencies would be held on March 3.

In the Karimnagar-Medak- Nizamabad-Adilabad Graduates Constituency, the voting percentage was about 63.09. Similarly, in the Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam Teachers constituency it was 93.55 per cent and Karimnagar-Medak-Adilabad-Nizamabad Teachers Constituency, it was 83.24.

The voting commenced at 8 am and continued till 4 pm. At a few polling stations, voters turned up in large numbers in the afternoon. All those who were in the queue were permitted to cast their votes.

As many as 56 candidates are in the fray for Karimnagar-Medak- Nizamabad-Adilabad Graduates Constituency. In the Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam Teachers constituency, 19 candidates are contesting. Likewise, in the Karimnagar-Medak-Adilabad-Nizamabad Teachers Constituency, 15 candidates are in the fray.

For the Karimnagar-Medak- Nizamabad-Adilabad Graduates Constituency, there are 3,55,159 voters and 499 polling stations were set up. Similarly, for the Karimnagar-Medak-Adilabad-Nizamabad Teachers Constituency, there are 27,088 voters and 274 polling stations have been set up. In the Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam Teachers constituency, there are 25,759 voters and 200 polling stations were established.

Earlier in the day, the BJP and Congress activists entered into an argument at a polling station in Naspur mandal, Mancherial district. Alleging police highhandness, the BJP leaders staged a protest at the polling station and Congress workers arrived at the spot and picked up an argument.
