Mohammed Abdul Quadeer named coach of Indian team for Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy

Mohammed Abdul Quadeer has been appointed coach of the Indian ice skating team for the Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy 2025 in Dehradun. He hopes young skaters, especially from Telangana, will shine and earn spots for the World Championships.

Hyderabad: Mohammed Abdul Quadeer has been selected as the coach for the Indian ice skating team participating in the Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy to be held from August 20-23 at the Himadri Ice Skating Track in Dehradun.

“This championship is a fantastic opportunity for our young skaters to showcase their talents and gain valuable experience,” Quadeer said.
“My desire is to see our children excel and bring home as many medals as possible for India, particularly from Telangana. The selection for the World Championships will be based on their performance, timings, and skills in this junior match.,” he explained.
” I’m confident that with hard work and dedication, we can achieve great results. My aim is to see Telangana participate in large numbers and bring home numerous medals, putting our state on the national map,” Quadeer said.

– *500m*: A sprint event, 1000m*: A test of endurance and strategy and 1500 m events also besides team relays.
