Mokila police bust inter-state drug racket, five nabbed

Mokila police arrested five persons in Mirzaguda after busting an inter-state drug smuggling racket. The gang allegedly sourced marijuana from peddlers in Odisha forests and supplied it to labour colonies and city outskirts.

Hyderabad: The Mokila police busted an inter-state drug smuggling racket and arrested five persons with 10 kg of marijuana in Mirzaguda on Friday.

Following a tip-off, the police nabbed the gang which procured marijuana from local drug peddlers based in the forest area in Odisha at low prices and supplied to labour colonies and other areas on the city outskirts.

According to police, the group was working as an organised network to distribute the contraband. The case is under investigation.
