Morphed image of CM KCR: Case registered against BJP MP D Arvind

Hyderabad: One more case was registered against Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind at the Banjara Hills police station on charges of morphing an image of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and circulating it on social media.

The case was registered after Y Sathish Reddy, convenor of the TRS Social Media Cell, lodged a complaint with the police that he saw on Facebook that the BJP MP had posted the morphed image, with the act intended to trigger unrest and promote enmity between different groups. It also hurt the sentiments of TRS party workers and followers, he said.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under Section 504, 505 (2), 153 (A) of IPC and Section 67 of the IT Act and are investigating.

On Sunday, the police had booked a case against Arvind for his derogatory remarks against the Chief Minister.
