Mother and Child Health Institute inaugurated at Yashoda Somajiguda
Launched on the occasion of Children’s Day celebrations by Hyderabad City Additional Commissioner of Police Shikha Goel, the new facility will address all aspects of care related to mother and child including prevention.
Hyderabad: Making a foray into mother and child care, Yashoda Hospitals Group on Monday launched a state-of-the-art Mother and Child Institute at its Somajiguda facility on Monday.
Launched on the occasion of Children’s Day celebrations by Hyderabad City Additional Commissioner of Police Shikha Goel, the new facility will address all aspects of care related to mother and child including prevention, health screenings, latest in obstetrics including top-of-the-line labour suites, painless natural birthing, pre/postpartum care to all kinds of high risk pregnancies.
Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, Director, Yashoda hospitals said that the Women and Child Institute will be dedicated to several aspects of women’s wellbeing, reproductive health, hormonal health and similarly well-being of children and physiology.
Other facilities that will be part of the institute include minimally invasive gynaecological surgeries with in-house multi-speciality surgical, cardiac, interventional radiology, intensivist and other specialist coverage to provide the best possible care.
The new facility is staffed by specialists in the field including round-the-clock in-house senior consultants in obstetrics and gynaecology. Similarly the paediatric unit is headed Dr. Suresh Kumar Panuganti and supplemented by subspecialty experts. The team will provide comprehensive multispecialty Paediatric care from Child wellbeing, screening, vaccination and other outpatient consultation to all aspects of inpatient care including State-of- art PICU and NICU with 24/7 senior consultant coverage.
Unique achievements being management of Extremely Preterm deliveries and managing young patients on ECMOs with advanced modes of ventilation and other advanced level ICU care to match the best international standards.
Shika Goel shared her experiences and valuable insight with all present and congratulated the team for this unique facility and felt it would help address the unique needs of women and child health.
Senior doctors from Yashoda mother and child institute, gynaecologists, paediatricians, medical staff, besides Shikha Goel and Hospital Directors participated in the inaugural program.
