Moving truck catches fire on Hyderabad ORR, no casualties

Hyderabad: The driver and cleaner of a concrete truck escaped unhurt when the moving vehicle caught fire on the Outer Ring Road in Medchal here on Tuesday morning.
The truck was proceeding from Medchal towards Hyderabad and as it reached the Medchal police station, the driver noticed smoke and immediately stopped the vehicle. He, along with the cleaner, then jumped out of the cabin and with the help of locals alerted the Fire Department and the police.
On receiving information, the Medchal police along with the Fire Department personnel reached the spot and with the help of a fire engine doused the fire.
The incident led to a traffic jam on the busy road. Officials moved the truck aside and cleared the traffic.
