MP Santosh Kumar condoles death of Tamil actor Vivek
Vivek, who was known for his environmental activism, had taken up tree planting as his life mission and founded Green Kalam initiative
Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh Kumar on Saturday said that efforts would be made to continue the initiative of planting one crore saplings launched by the popular Tamil film actor Vivek, who died in Chennai hospital in the early hours today.
Vivek, who was known for his environmental activism, had taken up tree planting as his life mission and founded Green Kalam initiative. Expressing grief over the sudden death of Vivek, Santosh Kumar, in a statement here, said the Tamil film actor had already planted 32 lakh saplings out of one crore saplings.
“We will continue Vivek’s initiative and plant the remaining 68 lakh saplings,” he added.
