Hyderabad: Even before the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the River Musi rejuvenation project was prepared, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday claimed that the project work had commenced and said that a 55-km long pollution-free river would soon flow in Hyderabad.
Speaking at the CII’s National Council Meeting here on Friday, the Chief Minister said the State government was focusing on making Hyderabad a flood-free city. It was also India’s first city with a climate change strategy action plan, he said.
Briefing CII representatives about the proposed Young India Skills University, the Chief Minister said a corpus fund was being created for the university. This would help the University’s Board to decide on fund utilization and projects to be taken up without depending on the government, he said.
“Already, funding to the tune of Rs.400 crore has been received and we want to raise Rs.200 crore more for the university,” he said.
