Nagapanchami: 11 cobras rescued in Telangana

Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GHSPCA) and the People For Animals (PFA) have rescued 11 cobras in the State on the occasion of Nagapanchami Festival.

Nine were rescued in the Hyderabad city limits while two were rescued from Nagarjunasagar.

Raids and rescues of snakes were done in Shahlibanda, Hussaini Alam, Dhoodhbowli, Gowlipura, Aliabad and Bell Road near Falaknuma from Friday morning.

The rescues were done with the help of the police. GHSPCA and PFA activists urged the public to contact Soudharm Bhandari on 8886743881 to inform details of snake charmers.
