Nalgonda Collector sacks absentee contract staff from PHC

The Collector was aghast that none of the staff was present at the primary health centre during a surprise visit. She also suspended the regular employees

Nalgonda: District Collector Ila Tripathi was surprised to find that none of the staff working in the primary health centre in Gurrampodu village turned up for duty on Wednesday.

Enraged over employees’ unauthorised absence, she issued orders terminating the services of all contract employees and suspending regular employees.

The Collector carried out a surprise visit to the primary health centre and was aghast to notice that none of the staff was present. The community health officer and other staffers too did not turn up.

The Collector terminated the services of pharmacist Shyam, lab technician Sandhya, data entry operator Madhavi, attenders Srinivas, Arun Jyothi and Ellamma.

The regular employees like attender Laxminarayana, pharmacist Bhagyamma were placed under suspension.
