Raipur: Mrityunjay Chiluveru, cartoonist of Namasthe Telangana won the first prize in the National Level Cartoon Competition on “Road Safety – Wear Helmet & Seat Belt”.
This competition was organised by Cartoon Watch in association with the Raipur Automobile Dealers Association (RADA) and the Chhattisgarh Transport Department.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from across India, with cartoonists illustrating the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts. The winners were chosen by a panel of judges.
Here is the winners list:
First Prize (Rs 25,000): A – Mrityunjay Chiluveru (Hyderabad), B – Aswini Abani (Orissa)
Second Prize (Rs 15,000, ): A – Varchaswi (Hyderabad) B – Neel Sekhar (Bhopal)
Third Prize (Rs 10,000): A – Manoj Chopra (Jammu) B – Anoop Radhakrishnan (Kerala)
Additionally, 20 special prizes of Rs 2,000 each were awarded to participants from various states, recognising their outstanding contributions to road safety awareness.
Cartoon Watch, India’s only monthly cartoon magazine, along with the Chhattisgarh Transport Department, congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of all participants. The competition successfully emphasized the significance of road safety through the power of visual storytelling.
