Nampally fire victims’ families to receive Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia
The Telangana government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to families of those who died in the Nampally fire mishap. Revenue Minister P Srinivas Reddy assured strict legal action against those responsible and pledged full government support to the bereaved families.
Hyderabad: An ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh has been announced to the families of the victims who died in the fire mishap at Nampally on Saturday.
Revenue Minister P Srinivas Reddy on Sunday announced the ex-gratia and directed Hyderabad District Collector Harichandana Dasari to disburse the amount immediately.
Preliminary investigations revealed the fire was caused by the negligence of the shop owner, who was taken into custody. The Minister said strict legal action would be taken against those responsible for the fire incident, and assured the state government’s support to the families of the deceased.
