Hyderabad: Narsampet MLA P. Sudershan Reddy on Friday appealed to Industries Minister K T Rama Rao to set up a Special Economic Zone for food processing units in the Narsampet constituency.
The MLA met the Minister at Pragathi Bhavan here to discuss development programmes in the constituency. Sudershan Reddy also sought a four-lane road from Narsampet to Warangal that would facilitate industrial development in the area. Besides, he also sought allocation of an additional Rs.5 crore for completion of mini Tank Bund in Maddannapet. For the convenience of people and better road connectivity to Narsampet, he appealed to the Minister to sanction another 15 km road length for completion of ring road.
As per Narsampet Model City plan, the MLA urged the Minister to release Rs.15 crore to ensure 100 per cent road network under the plan.
He also wanted the Minister to convene a review meeting to discuss development programmes taken up in Narsampet in the last three years and expedite the remaining works.
