Hyderabad: The NCC Directorate Andhra Pradesh & Telangana won the coveted All India Thal Sena Girls Competition – 2024.

The camp was conducted at New Delhi from September 2 to 13. The Directorate contingent consisting of 91 cadets won two all-India trophies, 10 gold medals, nine silver and and bronze medals each in addition to securing first place in All India Thal Sainik Camp (AITSC) –Girls, beating tough competition for the other NCC directorates of India.

The TSC boys contingent secured fourth position while the AP and Telangana team stood overall second among the 17 directorate teams, a press release said.

The girls’ and boys’ teams secured the first position in health and hygiene, and map reading competitions respectively. Cadet Hanshita from junior wing won the individual gold medal, while Cadet Sai Chandu of senior division won bronze medal in shooting competition, it said.

NCC Directorate Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Deputy Director General Air Commodore VM Reddy addressed the cadets of the TSC contingent on their return from the camp and noted that exemplary performance reflects the meticulous training regimen and commitment of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana officers, and cadets.
