The gang was also involved in a case registered in the Malakpet police station recently.

The gang members stay in different areas of the city and stay in touch through social media,” Anjani Kumar said, adding that in the Malakpet case, the gang made away with Rs 11.50 lakh. Twelve teams were set up to nab and with help from CCTV footage, the teams tracked them to the Indo-Nepal border, from where they were caught.
The police have asked the people to use the HawkEye application to upload and verify credentials of domestic helps and drivers before employing them. Identify proof should be collected by employers, the Commissioner said.
