Hyderabad: A fresh batch of exciting OTT releases is arriving this Friday, May 30, 2025, across platforms like JioHotstar, Netflix, SonyLIV, Apple TV+ and ZEE5. The line-up includes crime thrillers, musical biopics, horror dramas, and animated shows, promising something for every kind of viewer.
The most awaited release is Kankhajura, a high-stakes crime thriller on SonyLIV. Starring Roshan Mathew, Mohit Raina and Sarah Jane Dias, the series follows Ashu, a man trying to reconnect with his estranged brother after coming out of prison. But his past soon threatens both their lives. The show is based on the Israeli drama Magpie and directed by Chandan Arora.
Another big release is A Complete Unknown, streaming on JioHotstar. This musical biopic stars Timothée Chalamet as young Bob Dylan. Set in the 1960s, it shows how Dylan changed American music forever. Directed by James Mangold, the film is inspired by the book Dylan Goes Electric! by Elijah Wald.
Apple TV+ brings Bono: Stories of Suddener, a touching documentary about U2’s lead singer, Bono. Directed by Andrew Dominik, the film shares clips from Bono’s one-man show, Stories of Surrender, along with moments from his personal life and musical journey.
Netflix offers two new releases. A Widow’s Game is a Spanish crime thriller based on a true story. It follows María Jesús Moreno Canto, who teams up with her lover to murder her husband. The show dives into themes of betrayal, crime, and revenge. Lost in Starlight, a Korean animated series, follows an aspiring astronaut, Nan-young, and her journey with Jay, a broken musician who repairs old audio devices. Their connection sparks a beautiful yet emotional story.
On ZEE5, Andhar Maya promises horror and suspense. The Marathi drama tells the story of the Khatu family, who face supernatural events during their yearly trip to their ancestral home.
