Kumram Bheem Asifabad: The district is home to several waterfalls including the popular Gundala and Mitte waterfalls. However, a forester discovered a new waterfall in the forests of Tiryani mandal a few days back. He has named it as Bison Waterfall.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Ginnedhari Forest Range Officer (FRO) Thodishetty Pranay said he spotted the waterfall in the forests of Tiryani mandal, about two km from Gundala waterfalls. “While I was perambulating in the forest, I was surprised to discover the picturesque natural wonder. Water cascades down from around 60 feet, offering a pleasant sight,” he said.

Pranay said even the local were unaware of the spot when he enquired with them if they knew about it. “The waterfall can be converted into a tourist spot by providing basic amenities such as drinking water and toilets,” he said, adding that one needs to trek for at least five km to reach the waterfall.

Tiryani forests houses Chintala Madara, Pilligundam, Chicharaloddi and many other seasonal waterfalls, enthralling nature lovers.
