Mulugu: With heavy rains in the upper catchment areas of the Cheekupally Vagu (stream) for the past one week, the Bogatha waterfalls at Koyaveerapuram village of Wazeedu mandal has been receiving good inflows and enchanting visitors.
Speaking to ‘Telangana Today,’ Forest Range Officer (FRO) Doli Shankar said visitors had started pouring in since the waterfall was reopened to tourists recently. He said that some facilities developed at the waterfall site, however, are yet to be made available to the visitors. The area surrounding Bogatha waterfall is also a fantastic place for bird watching as the waterfall is located amidst the forest.
Meanwhile, the TSTDC Haritha Hotels and cottages in Tadvai, and Medaram in the district were opened to public recently. The hotels built at Gattamma near Mulugu town, near Bogatha waterfall and Mallur village near Hemachala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple are also likely to be thrown open to visitors soon.
