Karimnagar: Some unidentified persons killed a newly married woman by slitting her throat at Bommanapalli in Chigurumamidi mandal on Friday.
According to police, Myadari Pranalika (21) was found dead when her in-laws returned home from agriculture work in the evening. Shocked at seeing Pranalika in the pool of blood, they informed their son Anil, who runs a battery shop in Husnabad. Anil immediately informed the police.
Two month ago, Anil married Pranalika, who hails from Huzurabad. Pranalika, who went to her parent’s home recently, returned to her in-law’s place on Thursday. While Anil went to Husnabad in the morning, his parents left for agriculture works. Police suspect that she was murdered in the afternoon.
Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy visited the spot and enquired about the incident. Thimmapur CI Sheshidhar Reddy, SI Madhukar Reddy visited the spot.
Based on a complaint lodged by Anil, police registered a case and began investigations. The body was shifted to Karimnagar district headquarters hospital for postmortem.
