Hyderabad: Cybercriminals are allegedly using the name of the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), Hyderabad, to deceive people through fake emails announcing a workshop on digital healthcare services.

The emails claim that a one-day workshop will be conducted and that participants will receive credit certificates upon completion.

According to the information available, recipients are asked to pay a registration fee of Rs 3,999 through Google Forms, payment links and UPI QR codes.

Meanwhile, NIN has clarified that it is not organising any such workshop and that the emails are fraudulent.
