Nirmal: Two government teachers booked for sexually assaulting student

Nirmal: Two government teachers, Manohar Reddy and S Mohan Rao working with ZPHS-Narsapur mandal headquarters were booked for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl student on Wednesday.
Police said a case was registered against the two teachers under Section 10 (sexual assault on a child by a public servant) of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) based on a complaint received from a supervisor of the Child Welfare Department. Investigations were taken up.
The teachers and headmaster of the school Kishan Rao were already placed under suspension for their role in the misbehaviour against a Class X student. An inquiry was carried out into the allegations leveled against the headmaster and teachers. Based on the findings of the inquiry, disciplinary action was initiated against the three.
