Nirmal: A youngster died on the spot when two groups of two marriage parties clashed with each other over playing loud music at Kalwa Thanda village in Dilawarpur mandal on Wednesday. The incident came to light on Thursday. Seven persons were booked for allegedly being involved in the killing.
Dilawar Sub-Inspector M Gangadhar said that the victim was Banoth Naveen (28), a farmer of Kalwa Thanda. The accused were his neighbors Laxman, Sai, Mahesh, Bhumesh and three others of the same village.
Naveen received serious injuries when Laxman, Sai, Mahesh, Bhumesh and others thrashed him for playing loud music, resulting in instantaneous death for him. He picked up an argument with the seven when they requested him to reduce the volume of the music. He was beaten up by the seven of another marriage party.
It is learned that Naveen was a guest of a marriage conducted near Laxman’s residence. Participants of the two parties were in inebriated condition and came to blows over loud music. On coming to know about the incident, police rushed to the spot and pacified the two groups. A case was registered against the seven. Investigations were taken up.
