Warangal: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal, through its Centre for Career Planning and Development (CCPD), organised the Industry Conclave: Career Launch Summit 2026.

It was the first-ever industry conclave of its kind held at NITW to help students understand industry expectations and the skills required for graduating students ahead of the upcoming placement season.

In his online address, the NITW Director, Prof. Bidhyadhar Subudhi, appreciated the pioneering initiative and encouraged students to actively participate and benefit from the thoughtfully designed sessions by the CCPD team.

Dean (Student Welfare) Prof. Kiran Kumar emphasised the importance of holistic development, urging students to remain focused, adaptable, and proactive in preparing for their careers.

The CCPD head Prof. P. V. Suresh presented the objectives and background behind the conceptualisation of the conclave. It was designed as a platform for early engagement with industry, enabling students to gain clarity on evolving job market trends, required competencies and career pathways.

The placement brochure for academic year 2026–27 was released providing a comprehensive overview of the institute’s academic programmes, student demographics, placement statistics, recruiter information and key highlights of student achievements.

The two-day conclave featured sectoral leadership talks, panel discussions, and alumni interactions, with participation from leading organisations such as HPCL, ExxonMobil, Micron and Truveta.

Industry leaders and recruiters directly interacted with students, sharing valuable insights and highlighting sector-specific skills and competencies required in areas such as core engineering, consulting, semiconductors, energy, and AI-driven industries.

NIT alumni serving in the above organisations also actively participated, sharing their real-world experiences and offering practical perspectives on transitioning from campus to corporate environments, said a release here on Sunday.
