Khammam: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao skipped an important government programme attended by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in Kothagudem on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister along with Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy inaugurated newly built Indiramma houses at Bendalapadu village in Chandrugonda mandal in Kothagudem. The absence of the two key ministers from the district at the Chief Minister’s programme has raised many eyebrows. Importantly, the village falls under Aswaraopet Assembly constituency, which Nageswara Rao represents.
In another development, Minister Nageswara Rao’s photo was missing on the advertisements issued by the State government about the Chief Minister’s programme and published in the day in several newspapers across the State. The Minister’s followers were said to have been deeply hurt at the ‘insult’ he faced in his own district.
The advertisement featured the photos of ministers Srinivas Reddy and Bhatti Vikramarka while conspicuously excluding Nageswara Rao’s image. His followers stated that he had never faced such humiliation and suspected the omission was intentional.
