Hyderabad: A long weekend is on the cards for families in Hyderabad, paving the way for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle.
With the weather clearing up, the weekend has become a unique combination of two back-to-back holidays including Milad-un-Nabi on Friday and Ganesh idol immersion festival on Saturday.
Those looking for a longer break can take a day’s leave on Thursday and turn it into a four-day getaway with the family.
Since educational institutions have already declared holidays for both Friday and Saturday, families have enough time to plan their weekend.
Due to Milad-un-Nabi, Friday is also a bank holiday. While Saturday, September 6 is a holiday for government offices and schools due to Ganesh idol immersion festivities, it’s a regular working day for banks, since it is not a second Saturday.
