Nodal Officers to monitor Mulugu Covid situation

The officials will monitor the household survey and ensure proper treatment at Covid care centres

Mulugu: District Collector S Krishna Aditya has appointed Nodal Officers for effective management and control of Covid-19 pandemic with officials of the Health, Revenue, Police and other departments at the mandal-level in the district. The officers have been instructed to monitor various aspects of the pandemic and ensure that government instructions are implemented in the right spirit at the field level.

Nodal Officers, in-charge of their respective locations, will visit their centres on a regular basis and ensure that the household survey and follow up of symptomatic and Covid-positive patients is done by the team of mandal and village-level officers in all Mandals, as per the directions of the government. Necessary home-isolation kits will be provided to the households. The overall coordination regarding the survey of households in Mulugu, Venkatapur, Govindraopet and Tadvai Mandals will be taken care of by Additional Collector (LB), Mulugu, while the overall coordination for Eturunagaram, Kannaigudem, Mangapet, Wazeedu and Venkatapuram, will be overseen by PO, ITDA, Eturunagaram.


The Nodal Officers for Covid-Care centres shall be responsible for the overall maintenance of the centre. The officers will ensure the overall wellbeing of the patients at Covid care centre by visiting the centres on a daily basis to monitor the quality of food, drinking water and sanitation conditions. The officers willl also ensure the availability of medicines, referral to Area Hospital, Mulugu, or to centres with tertiary care facilities. There will be close coordination between the area hospital at Mulugu and Covid-Care centres.

“The nodal officers of the centres will be the point of contact and liasoning officers from the district, to ensure this close coordination and working of the Covid-Care centres,” he said and added that all the nodal officers will put in at the district headquarters and will only leave the headquarters with prior permission of the undersigned and they will work in close coordination with the officials of Health, Revenue, Police and other departments. “Any violation of the aforesaid instructions will result in prosecution under Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Section 188 of IPC as well as other applicable laws,” the Collector said.
The following district officers are thus designated as Nodal Officers, who will be responsible for overall superintendence, direction and control of their locations. The list of officers is as follows
