Mancherial: A book titled Mancherial Jilla Sahitya Charitra was unveiled by prominent novelist Allam Rajaiah at a programme held here on Sunday. The book was authored by Mancherial’s young poet Thokala Rajesham and was published by Telangana Sahitya Akademi.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajaiah opined that uncovering the authentic history of a region or an entity was a tough task these days. He said publication of history books would help a society to grow. He congratulated the author on the occasion and requested budding authors to draw inspiration from Rajesham to come up with authentic books.
Renowned critic Gopagani Ravinder observed that the book was one of finest work on literatary history of Mancherial. He was all praise for Rajesham for authoring the book, facing odds. Critics Shirishinahal Neeladevi, Bollavaram Jaganmohan Rao also complimented the author. They said that the book vividly narrates the history of literature produced in the district.
Telangana Rachayitala Vedika Forum president Thotapalli Bhomanna, general secretary Muthyam Nagavaram, district representatives Nutenki Ravindra, Hanmandla Ravindra, Alladi Srinivas, Gundeti Yogeshwar, Kondu Janardhan, Thummala Laxma Reddy, Hanmandla Rama Devi, Chepelli Bapu, Nuthan, Dharipelli Swarupa, Akkala Chandramouli, Inala Saidulu, Katta Bhagyalaxmi, Bhupati Santosh, Ramesh Babu, Chilakamari Thirupathi, Dwarakamayi and many other poets were present.
