NPA trainees rescue family from drowning at Lakshadweep islands

Hyderabad: Eight trainees including five IPS, two from Maldives and one from Bhutan during their visit to Lakshadweep islands showed valiant act and rescued a family from drowning in the sea.
The trainees went to Lakshadweep islands as part of Bharat Yatra when they noticed a family of an Indian Air Force (IAF) employee facing problems in the sea. They immediately swung into action and rescued the family members from drowning
The IPS trainees are presently undergoing training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in the city suburbs. In a tweet, the academy appreciated the selfless act of bravery true to the sense of uniform to help the people in need.
After the academy shared the news on twitter, the eight trainees received many messages appreciating their brave act. “Great! Proud to see the young cops already gearing to safeguard the nation,” said Srinidhi Jayaram in his tweet.
In another tweet, Vijaya Bhaskar said, “Great & brave cops….. Very proud to nation.”
