One killed, two injured during Bonalu preparations in Medak
A 19-year-old youth died and two others were injured after they suffered electric shocks while installing flexi banners for Bonalu celebrations in Narsapur town of Medak district. The injured were admitted to hospital, and the festivities were halted following the incident
Medak: Bonalu celebrations turned tragic as one person died and two others sustained injuries while installing flexi banners in Narsapur town on Friday morning. A group of youth from the area were making arrangements for the Bonalu festivities. They were carrying iron frames to erect the flexi banners.
While carrying the iron frames on their shoulders, they came into contact with overhead live electric wires and sustained severe electric shocks. Malparthi Harshavardhan (19) died on the spot, while two others sustained serious injuries.
The injured were identified as Boda Akhil and Mohd Irfan. They were rushed to the government hospital in Narsapur for treatment. The festivities came to a halt in the area following the tragic incident.
