Hyderabad’s old city came alive with vibrant Bonalu celebrations. Women in traditional dress offered ‘bonam’ to Goddess Mahankali. Streets were decorated with lights and cutouts, and temples saw heavy footfall. Police ensured tight security and smooth festival arrangements.
Thousands of devotees, mostly women, gathered at the Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad on Sunday for Bonalu celebrations. Despite heavy crowds and delays due to VVIP visits, the temple witnessed colourful and energetic festivities from early morning hours.
