One more food poisoning incident in Gadwal: Three students of Ieeja SC Residential School hospitalised

Several students of the SC Residential School and College in Shaikpally, Ieeja mandal, fell ill due to suspected food poisoning after eating breakfast on Saturday. Three students were hospitalised. The incident follows a similar case in nearby Dharmavaram on Friday.

Jogulamba Gadwal: Several students at the SC Residential School and College in Shaikpally of Ieeja mandal fell ill due to suspected food poisoning on Saturday morning.

Three students, Srinivas (Intermediate first year), Achilles (Intermediate first year) and Bharath (Intermediate second year), were shifted to the Government General Hospital in the town for treatment. The students were reportedly served jeera rice for breakfast before they developed symptoms.

School staff and local police immediately rushed the affected students to the hospital.

Incidentally, the school is located barely 15 km from the BC Hostel at Dharmavaram, where more than 50 students were hospitalised due to food poisoning on Friday night.
